BIG DREAMS – BOLD MOVES

YOUR DREAMS ARE TOO BIG? GOOD!

When Others Worry, You’re Probably Onto Something

Hey friend, Hi!

Ever notice how the bigger your dreams get, the more people start to “worry” about you?

It’s fascinating, really. Just when you’re feeling most alive, most connected to what’s possible, someone comes along with their well-meaning concern. Their “are you sure about this?” Their “I’m just worried you’re taking on too much.”

Here’s what I’ve learned:

When your dreams start making others uncomfortable, you’re probably onto something big. Go For It!

Think about it:

  • When was the last time playing small made you feel alive?
  • When did staying in someone else’s comfort zone ever light you up?
  • Since when did other people’s limitations have anything to do with your possibilities? (hint-NEVER)

What Big Dreams Feel Like

There’s this feeling you get when you’re on the edge of something bigger than what you’ve done before.

Your heart beats a little faster.

Your mind races with possibilities.

You can almost taste the potential.

And yes, maybe your knees shake a little too. That’s okay. It means you’re alive.

Why Others Worry

When people worry about your dreams, it’s not really about you. It’s about them:

  • They can’t see what you see
  • They don’t feel what you feel
  • They’re looking at your future through their fears

And you know what? That’s okay. They don’t have to get it.

The Real Truth

Every time someone says your dreams are too big, try hearing it differently:

  • Too big for their comfort zone? Probably
  • Too big for what they think is possible? Maybe
  • Too big for you? Not even close
“There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing.”Aristotle

Going Big Anyway

Here’s the thing about dreams that scare other people: they’re usually the ones worth chasing.

Because the dreams that make others nervous are often the ones that:

  • Push you to grow
  • Make you feel alive
  • Change not just your life, but others’ lives too

So when people start worrying about your dreams, smile. Thank them for caring. And keep right on going.

Remember:

  • Your vision is yours for a reason
  • Your dreams are big because you are
  • Your path forward might make others nervous, but it feels like home to you

The world needs your big dreams. It needs your wild ideas. It needs you to be exactly as ambitious as you are.

So go ahead. Dream bigger. Want more. Reach higher.

And when people say your dreams are too big?

Smile and say “Thank you. They’re supposed to be.”

XOXO,

Tonya

MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS BEYOND THE SURFACE The Art of Deeper Conversations Hey friend, Yesterday, I found myself in a conversation that felt different. You know those moments when you walk away feeling truly seen and understood? (I love it when that happens) When the exchange goes beyond surface-level chat? It got me thinking about how we show up in our everyday conversations – with our family, our team, and even with ourselves. It’s perfect timing, too, because I’ve been listening to The Art…
