YOU MADE IT! The Truth About Quitters Day (And Why That’s Good News)

Hey friend!

Did you know January 10th was “Quitters Day”?

That’s right – it’s the day when most people give up on their New Year’s goals.

But you’re here, reading this, which means you’re still in the game.

Whether you’re going strong with your 2025 goals, still finding your way, or haven’t started yet – you’re doing just fine.

Let’s be real: January 1st isn’t magic. We act like the new year will suddenly change habits we’ve had for years.

But that’s not how it works, is it?

The truth is simple: Real change happens when you find what works for you, not what works for someone else.

Where Are You Now?

  • Maybe you’ve stuck with those morning walks (awesome!)
  • Maybe you’re still trying to make your new routine work
  • Maybe you haven’t started because you’re not sure how

Here’s the good news: All of these are okay.

Change isn’t a straight line from A to B. Sometimes we zigzag, or zig, then zag, and that’s completely normal.

Think about it – everything you do well now started somewhere. And I bet it wasn’t perfect when you started (yikes, I hate to admit that one!)

Stuck? Here Are 3 Simple Ways Forward

*Just Take One Step

Don’t worry about the perfect plan.

Ask yourself: “What’s one small thing I could do today?” Maybe it’s a five-minute walk instead of an hour workout. Maybe it’s reading one page instead of a whole chapter. Small steps add up.

*Find Your Way

  • What works for others might not work for you – and that’s okay.
  • Try things at different times of day.
  • Change things up.
  • Keep what works, drop what doesn’t.
  • Your life is different from everyone else’s, so your path will be too.

*Look at Progress Differently (perception is everything)

Progress can mean:

  • Realizing what doesn’t work for you
  • Noticing when you’re thinking too much instead of acting
  • Learning from what didn’t go as planned

Your Green Light for 2025

It’s okay to:

  • Start now (January 1st was just another day)
  • Change your goals to fit your real-life
  • Take your time
  • Do things your way (this one is a game-changer for me)

Remember: You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to keep going. Even the messy parts count as progress (trust me, it ALL counts).

No matter where you are with your goals – ahead, behind, or just getting started – you’re learning what works for you.

And that’s what really matters.

Cheering for you,

XOXO

Tonya

P.S. What’s one tiny step you could take today toward something that matters to you? No pressure, just curiosity!
